Moody Point


Moody Point (53˚32'00" 128˚59'00" N end of Ursula Channel, N of Princess Royal I, S of Kitimat). Named about 1875 by members of a CPR land survey team searching for a suitable terminus for the transcontinental railroad. Sub-Lt Thomas B Moody served aboard HMS Boxer, under Lt Cdr William Collins, 1871–75.
