Miller Islet


Miller Islet (49˚47'00" 123˚57'00" S end of Prince of Wales Reach, N of Egmont Point, Jervis Inlet, NW of Vancouver). This feature, formerly known as One Tree I, was renamed in 1945, presumably in association with nearby Captain I (qv), which was named in 1860 after HMS Captain, the vessel from which Commodore Horatio Nelson flew his pennant at the 1797 Battle of Cape St Vincent (setting in motion his fabled career).
