Middleton Point


Middleton Point (51˚47'00" 128˚00'00" E side of Nalau I, Fitz Hugh Sd, S of Bella Bella). Early PNW fur trader Charles Duncan, capt of the Princess Royal in 1788, gave the name Sir Charles Middleton’s Sd to the body of water now known as Fitz Hugh Sd. The hydrographic service called this feature Middleton Point in 1945 in order to keep that earlier reference alive.
