Miall Islet


Miall Islet (52˚31'00" 128˚17'00" E entrance to Jackson Passage, between Susan I and Roderick I, Mathieson Channel, N of Bella Bella), Miall Point (52˚30'00" 128˚16'00" SE end of Susan I). Edwin Rose Miall was an RN paymaster aboard HMS Scout, under Capt John Price, on the Pacific Station, 1865–68. He became a chief paymaster, retired, in 1883. Miall Point was named by surveyor Lt Daniel Pender in 1866.
