McNeil Peninsula


McNeil Peninsula (49˚17'00" 126˚04'00" SE end of Flores I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Named in 1934 for Jean McNeil (1867–1917), from Ont, who was a missionary with the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Society. She came to Flores I in 1900 as an assistant to Rev John Russell, who established a Presbyterian mission at Ahousat in 1895 and built a day school there also.
