McKay Island


McKay Island (49˚19'00" 126˚03'00" E of Flores I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Ellen McKay was a Presbyterian teacher with the Women’s Missionary Society who first came to Flores I in 1900 with Rev John Russell. Russell established a mission at Ahousat in 1895 and later built a day school there as well.
