McGregor Point


McGregor Point (54˚41'00" 130˚05'00" In Khutzeymateen Inlet, N of Prince Rupert). One possible source for this name is Andy McGregor, who was the first foreman of the Skidegate Oil Co’s dogfish-liver plant on the QCI. Established in 1879 at Skidegate Landing, the refinery produced a high grade of lubricating oil for a number of years.
