McClusky Bay


McClusky Bay (51˚38'00" 127˚47'00" N side of Fish Egg Inlet, E of Fitz Hugh Sd and Calvert I). This locally used name was submitted in 1985 by the staff of Sidney’s Institute of Ocean Sciences, a research facility operated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. According to the IOS submission, McClusky was “a local tough guy” who gillnetted the creek that entered the head of the bay. The name was adopted in 1987.
