McBride Bay


McBride Bay (51˚18'00" 127˚32'00" N side of Greaves I, Smith Inlet, N of Port Hardy). This local name for the bay was adopted by Capt John Walbran in 1903 while making a preliminary survey of Smith Inlet with CGS Quadra. Frederick J McBride (1852–1904), from NB, was logging here for the Takush Saw Mill Co in 1897.
