Maycock Rock


Maycock Rock (50˚20'00" 125˚20'00" Off S entrance to Cameleon Hbr, Sonora I, N of Campbell R). James D Maycock was a midshipman aboard HMS Sutlej, the flagship of Rear Adm John Kingcome, and served on the Pacific Station in 1863–64. He was assigned temporarily to HMS Cameleon in 1863. He later served on HMS Hibernia, the flagship of Rear Adm Henry Kellett, superintendent of the Malta dockyard. W
