Maurelle Island


Maurelle Island (50˚17'00" 125˚09'00" Off NE side of Quadra I, N of Campbell R). Maurelle I, Sonora I and Quadra I were all considered by early explorers to be part of one large feature, originally known as Valdes (or Valdez) I, and did not receive their current names until 1903; Maurelle was known for some time as Middle Valdes I.
