Matthew Island (52˚07'00" 127˚51'00" In entrance to Evans Inlet, E side of Fisher Channel, W side of King I, E of Bella Bella), Matthew Passage (52˚06'00" 127˚51'00" Between Matthew I and King I). After one of the four evangelists who wrote the gospel accounts in the New Testament. St Matthew was also one of the 12 apostles. Tradition holds that he was a tax collector.
