Mary Anne Point


Mary Anne Point (48˚52'00" 123˚19'00" SE end of Galiano I, Gulf Is). RN hydrographer Capt George Richards named Georgina Point (qv), Helen Point (qv) and Edith Point (qv) in this area in 1858–60 after prominent local women of the day. Mary Anne Point also probably honoured a well-known resident of early Victoria, but the source of the name is no longer known.
