Marvin Islands (52˚32'00" 128˚45'00" Head of Kitasu Bay, W side of Swindle I, NW of Bella Bella). Edward Benjamin Marvin (1830–1911), born at Halifax, came to Victoria in 1859 and founded the ship chandlery firm of E B Marvin & Co on Wharf St. A sailmaker by trade, he had first headed to California to participate in the gold rush and lived in San Francisco 1852–57.
