Mara Rock (48˚53'00" 125˚29'00" SW entrance to Loudoun Channel, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). John Andrew Mara (1840–1920) pre-empted and sold many pieces of land over the course of his adventurous life, including the northernmost of the Stopper Is, NE of Mara Rk in Barkley Sd, for which he received a Crown grant in 1892.
