Lund


Lund (49º58’00” 124º46’00” NW of Powell R, E of Cambell R, NE side of Str of Georgia). Named by Charles and Frederick Thulin, who logged and pre-empted land at this location in 1890. The original Lund was founded around AD 1000 in Sweden, and with its early 12th-century cathedral, became an important Christian centre. Lund’s 17th-century university is Sweden’s largest.
