Laundy Rock


Laundy Rock (52˚48'00" 129˚23'00" SW of Rennison I, off NW end of Aristazabal I). Named for Ellen Cridge (1867–1952), daughter of Victoria’s pioneer Anglican clergyman Edward Cridge (see Cridge Banks). She was born at Victoria and married Thomas Herbert Laundy (1865–1957) there in 1891. Laundy, from Scotland and recently widowed, worked at first as a clerk with the Bank of BC.
