Ladysmith


Ladysmith (48˚59'00" 123˚49'00" W of Ladysmith Hbr), Ladysmith Harbour (49˚00'00" 123˚48'00" SE side of Vancouver I, between Duncan and Nanaimo). The town of Ladysmith was founded in 1900 by James Dunsmuir, coal baron and BC premier, as a port and residential suburb for workers at his nearby collieries.
