Kingscote Point


Kingscote Point (52˚05'00" 128˚18'00" NW tip of Piddington I, entrance to Raymond Passage, SW of Bella Bella). Lt Cdr Robert Pringle Kingscote was born in Australia in 1884 and joined the RN, where he commanded a torpedo boat in 1906 and was listed as a lt on HMS Drake in 1908. He married Violet Anderton Greenwood 
(b 1897) in London, UK, in 1916, and they divorced in 1927. Kingscote apparently retired from the RN and immigrated to Canada before WWII but re-enlisted with the RCN. He appears...
