Hoya Passage


Hoya Passage (52˚39'00" 131˚42'00" Darwin Sd, between Shuttle I and Moresby I, QCI). Hoya is an adaptation of the Haida word for raven (xhuuya). According to historians Philip and Helen Akrigg, the actual Haida name for this feature was a term meaning “the channel behind.”
