Houghton Islands


Houghton Islands (52˚07'00" 128˚26'00" S entrance to Thompson Bay, W of Bella Bella). In 1944, when this feature was named, Frank Llewellyn Houghton, CBE (1897–1981), was a capt and senior RCN officer at London, England (at HMCS Niobe). He was born in Cornwall, England, and became a cadet at the Royal Naval College of Canada in 1913.
