Hougestol Point


Hougestol Point (50˚53'00" 127˚40'00" NW side of Nigei I, off N end of Vancouver I). Named in memory of Chief Motor Mechanic John Melvin Hougestol (1899–1945), of Victoria, who died while serving at HMCS Scotian, a naval reserve shore establishment at Halifax. He is buried in Valley View Cemetery at Camrose, Alberta.
