Horswell Bluff


Horswell Bluff (49˚13'00" 123˚56'00" N of Departure Bay, N of Nanaimo), Horswell Channel (49˚13'00" 123˚56'00" N of Newcastle I, N of Nanaimo), Horswell Rock (In Horswell Channel). Horswell Bluff was named in 1853 by George Inskip, master of HMS Virago, after a seaman of that name who assisted with surveys of Nanaimo Hbr and Departure Bay.
