Hogan Island


Hogan Island (54˚39'00" 130˚25'00" N entrance to Work Channel, Tsimpsean Peninsula, N of Prince Rupert), Hogan Point (53˚49'00" 132˚08'00" N end of Kumdis I, Masset Sd, Graham I, QCI). Named for Rev William Hogan (1831–1914), a much-esteemed Anglican missionary on the BC N coast. He arrived in BC from Dublin in 1893 with his wife, Margaret Louisa Hutchinson (b 1852), and daughter.
