Hisnit Inlet


Hisnit Inlet (49˚44'00" 126˚30'00" W side of Tlupana Inlet, E of Nootka I, W side of Vancouver I), Hisnit Islands (50˚10'00" 127˚28'00" N side of Ououkinsh Inlet, NE of Checleset Bay, NW side of Vancouver I). The inlet is named after an abandoned village site, now a Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation reserve, that was located at its head and mentioned in 18th-century exploration records.
