Higgs Point


Higgs Point (48˚44'00" 123˚11'00" E side of S Pender I, Gulf Is). Leonard Lewis Spalding Higgs (1867–1922) came out from England in 1886, lived for a year on Saturna I and then moved to S Pender I, where he ranched and logged. He returned to England to marry Caroline Emma Wells Batsford (1867–1956) and brought her to BC in 1892.
