Heritage Point


Heritage Point (48˚26'00" 123˚15'00" SW end of Chatham Is, E of Oak Bay and Victoria). John Alexander Heritage (1865–1958) was born in the US, came to BC in 1893 and married Mary Ash Wilson (1875–1965) at Victoria in 1901. He served as an engineer aboard the Empress of India on the CPR’s trans-Pacific line before joining the Canadian Pacific Navigation Co and the CPR’s BC Coast Steamship Service in 1897.
