Henry Rock


Henry Rock (52˚00'00" 128˚14'00" Between SW end of Campbell I and the Prince Group, SW of Bella Bella). Named in 1944 for the passenger ship Prince Henry after it was transferred to the RN and converted to an armed merchant cruiser. The 109-m, 6,252-tonne steel vessel, which could load automobiles through its side doors, was built at Birkenhead, England, for the CNR in 1930 and spent its first year in the Alaska cruise trade.
