Harmston Island

Harmston Island (52˚16'00" 128˚22'00" Off SW end of Don Peninsula, NW of Bella Bella). Florence Mary Harmston (1856–1929) was born at Douglas, Isle of Man, and moved to the Comox valley with her parents, William and Florence Harmston, in 1862. She married Samuel Jackson Cliffe (1840–1908) at Cumberland about 1873 and became the mother of 10 children. The Cliffes operated the Lorne Hotel at Comox for many years.
