Hare Point (50˚04'00" 124˚47'00" W side of Gifford Peninsula, Desolation Sd, NW of Vancouver). Named after Cdr Richard Hare (1836–1903) of HMS Myrmidon, a 630-tonne gun and survey vessel that was based on the Pacific Station, at Esquimalt, in 1873.
