Hardwicke Island


Hardwicke Island (50˚26'00" 125˚51'00" Between Sunderland Channel and Johnstone Str), Hardwicke Point (50˚26'00" 125˚59'00" W end of Hardwicke I). Capt George Vancouver named the island in 1792 as a compliment to Spelman Swaine, master’s mate aboard HMS Discovery (see Cape Swaine).
