Hansen Bay


Hansen Bay (50˚44'00" 128˚23'00" S of Cape Scott, NW tip of Vancouver I), Hansen Lagoon (50˚46'00" 128˚21'00" Head of Hansen Bay). Rasmus Hansen (b 1864), a Danish fisherman from Seattle, anchored in this bay in 1894 and was so impressed with the extensive tidal meadows that lay just inland that he determined to try to establish a Danish agricultural colony there.
