Hanna Bay


Hanna Bay (54˚06'00" 132˚35'00" W side of Virago Sd, N end of Graham I, QCI). According to QCI historian Kathleen Dalzell, the name is derived from Kan-nah Kwoon, the Haida term for adjacent Cape Naden. Sometimes referred to as “the bay below Kan-nah,” this feature was more commonly known to the Haida as Ahk-gwans (gwans can be translated as “rocky”).
