Gulf Islands (48˚57'00" 123˚32'00" E of S end of Vancouver I). This geographical feature extends from D’Arcy I in the SW to the N end of Gabriola I and as far E as Saturna I; not included are Newcastle I, Protection I and other small islands off the coast of Nanaimo, nor any islands farther N, such as Texada and Denman.
