Gowing Island (52˚46'00" 132˚02'00" In Fairfax Inlet, Tasu Sd, W side of Moresby I, QCI). Prospector Arthur Gowing (1866–1914) came to the Tasu area about 1908 from Revelstoke and began staking mineral claims.
