Gormely Point


Gormely Point (50˚50'00" 126˚18'00" N side of Tribune Channel, N of Gilford I, between Kingcome Inlet and Knight Inlet). Marcus “Marc” William Gormely (1907–85) was the provincial forester for the Kingcome region at some point in his long career with the BC Forest Service. He was a member of the first council of the Assoc of BC Foresters in 1947 and its president in 1970. In 1983 he wrote a history of the association. Formerly known as Watson Point.
