Gooch Island


Gooch Island (48˚39'50" 123˚17'22" Haro Str, just E of Sidney, Gulf Is). Thomas Sherlock Gooch (1831–97) was 2nd lt aboard HMS Satellite, under Capt James Prevost, on the Pacific Station from 1857 to 1860. He achieved the rank of capt and retired in 1873.
