Gibson Point

Gibson Point (52˚04'00" 128˚04'00" E entrance to Fannie Cove, Cooper Inlet, S of Bella Bella). Named after a clergyman on the BC coast, probably Rev W H Gibson, a missionary at Bella Coola (1907–21), but possibly Rev J B Gibson, who served at Anyox, then Smithers, and later became dean of Prince Rupert’s Anglican cathedral in 1929 and bishop of Caledonia from 1945 until 1952, when he was killed in a car accident.
