Gibraltar Island


Gibraltar Island (48˚55'00" 125˚15'00" Part of the Broken Group, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Named in 1861 by Capt George Richards, of RN survey vessel Hecate, because it resembles a tiny Rock of Gibraltar when viewed from a particular perspective.
