Fame Point


Fame Point (53˚17'00" 132˚42'00" S side of Kano Inlet, SW Graham I, QCI). Capt George Vancouver sailed past here in 1793 and named nearby Hunter Point (qv) after his friend Dr John Hunter, whom he had met at Jamaica while serving in 1782–83 as 4th lt aboard HMS Fame, under Capt George Wilson.
