Fairweather Bay


Fairweather Bay (49˚20'00" 123˚23'00" S side of Bowen I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). The Cowan family, early landowners at the S end of Bowen I, originally called this little cove Winnipeg Bay in 1907, to honour nieces visiting from that city. One of George Cowan’s daughters, Irene, married Ernest Rogers, a son of BC Sugar (now Rogers Sugar) owner Benjamin Rogers.
