Estrado Lagoon


Estrado Lagoon (54˚03'00" 132˚12'00" N of Entry Point, Masset Hbr, Graham I, QCI). Spanish naval officer Nicolas Estrado was one of Lt Cdr Jacinto Caamaño’s subordinates aboard Aránzazu in 1792. Caamaño, who had been sent N from Nootka Sd by Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra to explore the coastlines in the area of Dixon Entrance, applied the name Puerto Estrado to the entrance to Masset Hbr.
