Elworthy Island


Elworthy Island (50˚11'50" 124˚47'00" Between E and W Redonda Is, N of Desolation Sd, NE of Campbell R). Douglas Richard Elworthy was born at Cardiff, Wales, in 1918 and immigrated to Vancouver with his family in 1924. He and a partner operated a small gold mine in the BC Cariboo from 1936 until the outbreak of WWII, when he joined the merchant navy.
