Edye Passage


Edye Passage (54˚03'00" 130˚37'00" NW side of Porcher I, SW of Prince Rupert). Capt William Henry Edye (1832–1910) arrived on the Pacific Station in 1869, aboard HMS Satellite. Earlier in his career he had been 2nd officer of HMS Britannia, 1862–65, when it was a cadet training vessel. Edye was inspector of RN training ships, 1874–78, then senior officer at Gibraltar.
