Clifford Bay


Clifford Bay (52˚36'00" 129˚08'00" W side of Aristazabal I). Frank Clifford Goulding Smith (1890–1983) assisted with Pacific coastal surveys aboard CGS Lillooet in 1925 as a junior hydrographer. He was born in Montreal and joined the Canadian Hydrographic Service in 1914. In the 1920s he worked mainly in the Gulf of St Lawrence, then became officer-in-charge of the Hudson Str survey, 1931–35.
