Butler Rock


Butler Rock (53˚34'00" 130˚33'00" In Rawlinson Anchorage, off W side of Banks I). Ann Jane Bates (1846–1930) was born at Manchester, UK, and immigrated to Victoria in 1863. In 1867, at Sapperton, she married Robert Butler, a printer, who had come to BC with the Columbia detachment of the Royal Engineers (see Butler Shoal).
