Bute Island


Bute Island (48˚59'45" 123˚47'30" In Ladysmith Hbr, E side of Vancouver I). The name was proposed in 1963 by the island’s owner, H W McCurdy of Seattle, after the ancestral home of the McCurdy clan on the Isle of Bute in Scotland’s Firth of Clyde. Formerly known as Island No 3.
