Burly Bay (50˚55'00" 126˚47'00" S side of Mackenzie Sd, N of Broughton I, E end of Queen Charlotte Str). William Blair McKenzie (1850–1901), known to his intimates as “Burly,” was born in Scotland and died in Spokane. He was the son of Kenneth McKenzie, manager of Craigflower Farm, one of the large farms established in the 1850s near Victoria by the Puget’s Sd Agricultural Co, an HBC subsidiary.
