Burgoyne Bay


Burgoyne Bay (48˚48'00" 123˚32'00" W side of Saltspring I, Gulf Is). Cdr Hugh Talbot Burgoyne, VC (1833–70), born at Dublin, was an officer aboard HMS Ganges, flagship of Rear Adm Robert Baynes, under Capt John Fulford, and served on the BC coast, 1857–60.
