Buck Channel


Buck Channel (53˚06'00" 132˚28'00" Between Chaatl I and NW Moresby I, QCI), Buck Point (53˚06'00" 132˚34'00" NW tip of Moresby I). Buck Point was named in 1793 by Capt George Vancouver on his way S to California and Hawaii after concluding his season’s work in the PNW. It is believed to commemorate the prominent Buck family of Norwich, who lived not far from where Vancouver himself was raised, at King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
